Anne Gunteski
Principal

Anne Gunteski has been working in the field of Education for the past thirty-three years. She started as a classroom teacher at Alpha School in 1981 and became the Principal at Harbor in 1993. Anne received a Bachelor of Music Education from Marywood College in 1977 and a Masters Degree in Special Education from Fordham University in 1981. She earned her Principal’s certificate from Georgian Court University in 1987. Anne is currently working on her dissertation for a doctorate in Special Education from Rutgers University. The dissertation topic relates to Family-Professional Partnership in Special Education and is an integral part of Harbor’s staff development program.

Maureen Banias
Supervisor of Instruction

Maureen Banias received her BA from Jersey City State College with a major in Special Education and a concentration in Psychology and Sociology. Her graduate work was completed at Georgian Court University where she received an MA in Educational Administration, Supervision, and Curriculum Planning. Maureen holds certifications in Nursery School, Elementary Education, Teacher of the Handicapped, Supervisor, and Principal. Maureen has been working in the field of Special Education for over 30 years as a teacher and administrator. Her experience began in an urban public school district teaching students with learning and behavior problems. Maureen joined the RKS team in 1991 and says that it has been an honor to be part of such and excellent educational program.

Murae Vogler
Social Worker

Murae Vogler graduated from Rutgers University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and continued her studies at Rutgers to complete a Masters degree in Social Work. Before coming to the Harbor School, Murae worked at CPC Behavioral Health for ten years. Murae is currently working with students in a group process, focusing on developing social skills and compensatory coping strategies. She also consults with teachers and parents and assists them with accessing information regarding supports, services and resources as needed.

Christine Jost
School Nurse

Christine Jost recently completed her Master of Science in Nursing, in School Health Education, from New Jersey City University. Christine has previous nursing experience for 10 years in Critical Care / Trauma, both pediatric and adult and 14 years as a Correctional and Youth Detention Center nurse. She has worked with children with special health care needs for over 10 years.

Mary Beth Ward
Related Services Supervisor

Mary Beth Ward has had the pleasure to work with the students of Harbor School as an Occupational Therapist for the past 15 years both directly treating students and managing OT, PT, and ST services. Her previous experience was the traumatic brain injury and rehabilitation in various hospital settings. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy from Boston University in 1981. Sensory integration, functional life skill training, and classroom seating / positioning remain her area of expertise as she continues to assist the students at Harbor School with their educational and medical needs.

Pat Sterling
Transition Teacher

Pat Sterling graduated from Trenton State College with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Pat started as a classroom teacher at Harbor in September of 1989. Starting in September 1997, Pat became the Transition Coordinator for our high school program and has remained in this position since that time. Mrs. Sterling works closely with our high school students and their families to develop appropriate vocational skills to help facilitate job placement after graduation.

Linda Cranin
Music Teacher

Linda Cranin graduated from SUNY Potsdam Crane School of Music, with a Bachelor of Music in Music Education. Linda earned a Master of Science at Richmond College, later College of Staten Island in Special Education. Linda holds certifications in Music Education, Special Education and Nursery – 8th grade. Linda taught on Staten Island before moving to NJ. She has been with Harbor for 17 years using music to teach our students all kinds of concepts from composers and styles of music to colors, numbers and body identification.

Mary Jo Mongaliri
Art Teacher

Mary Jo Mongaliri has been with the RKS schools for the past 25 years. She currently teaches Art at both Alpha and Harbor School. Mary Jo is a gifted and talented artist. She recognizes that some of our students excel in the art area and she provides individualized and small group instruction for them. Mary Jo is currently featured in the film documentary “I am and Artist,” which highlights her unwavering belief in the remarkable abilities of all her students.

Suzanne Neuman
Adaptive Physical Education Teacher

Suzanne Neumann graduated cumlaud from Montclair State University with a BA degree in Physical Education and Health (grades K – 12) with a concentration in Adaptive Physical Education. She has been working and teaching children in the field of Physical Education since high school. She has experience in recreation programs, Head Coach / Director of Gymnastics at the Summit WYCA, safety certified in gymnastics, and a judge on both state and regional levels. She has 19 years of teaching APE with RKS. Suzanne believes that all children can succeed, have fun, and enjoy Physical Education. She teaches through progression and uses a vast variety of activities. Suzanne’s main focus is that all children succeed and progress, thus building their self-esteem as well as their overall fitness level.

Sandy Greebel
Classroom Teacher/Computer Consultant

Sandy Greebel graduated from Trenton State College (College of NJ) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary and History Education. She earned a Master of Science in Special Education from Monmouth College (Monmouth University). Sandy has taken a number of classes in Assistive Technology from RIATT@NASDE. Sandy has been a teacher at the Harbor School for the past 17 years and is currently the school’s computer software consultant.

Barabara Getz
Administrative Assistant

Barbara Getz has worked for RKS Associates for over 15 years. She has been an administrative assistant for the past seven years at Harbor School. Barbara’s experience at Harbor includes knowledge of students, staff and many other office responsibilities that take place daily. She says that her favorite part of working in a special education school, is greeting students and families, and seeing their joy in being part of this wonderful school.

Darlene Davis
Resouce Teacher

Darlene Davis received her BA from Georgian Court University with a major in Psychology. She has certification as a Teacher of the Handicapped and Elementary School Teacher. Mrs. Davis also received her MA from Georgian Court College in Special Education. She has 20 years of teaching experience in the field of Special Education.
